PRACTICE IN THE PLACES OF BUDDHA

February 3-13, 2022, 11 days

The path of Buddha Shakyamuni is the path of overcoming oneself. Those places where he practiced pranayama and meditation, subjected his body to austerities, gave the Teaching to followers, are marked with special energy.

Such places are called “places of power”, because getting into them, even a modern person is able to increase his personal level of practice, to come into contact with the immaterial. And for someone here the opportunity may open up to remember himself, who he was before his birth.

  • Sarnath – the place of the first turning of the wheel of Dharma, where Buddha told the four Noble Truths and the Eightfold Path;
  • Bodhgaya – here Buddha achieved liberation under the Bodhi tree;
  • Varanasi (Benares) and the great river Ganges;
  • Mahakala cave – the place of the Buddha’s austerities;
  • Mount Gridhrakuta – the place of the second turning of the wheel of Dharma, where Buddha told Lotus Flower Sutra of Wonderful Dharma;
  • Nalanda – the largest of the famous Buddhist universities and monasteries was located here.

We bring to your attention the film “In Search of the Tathagat Path”, which tells about one of the journeys of our club to the places of Buddha Shakyamuni.
