"I’ll say that there is no delay. There is a systematic, measured and prudent decision-making process in order to ensure the arrival of Ukrainian citizens in Ukraine, but at the same time give everyone the opportunity to feel safe from the possible spread of the coronovirus," the official noted .
According to her, today at the highest level it was decided that on Tuesday, February 18, the plane will be sent, and the next day, Ukrainian citizens will return home.
Skaletskaya assured that only those citizens who have no symptoms and who are healthy will arrive in Ukraine. True, they may be likely carriers of the coronavirus.
First, they will be checked by the Chinese authorities and only after that they will be allowed to release them. Then they will be checked by Ukrainian doctors. They will accompany the Ukrainians from Wuhan on board the aircraft and then remain in isolation with them. I want to say right away that isolation will last at least 14 days,
Regarding the room in which the Ukrainians will be in isolation, the Ukrainian authorities are looking for a comfortable and at the same time epidemically safe so that a possible disease does not spread.
“Today, our four services will analyze all the facilities. There are four options. In particular, we are figuring out the payment procedure and the amount that is needed,” Skaletskaya said.
According to her, this room will be prepared in a timely manner so that Ukrainians can immediately be settled here after arrival. They will deliver them here by bus. Skaletskaya added that there is no threat to the neighboring village.
“If one of the arriving Ukrainians has the symptoms of a coronavirus, they will immediately hospitalize him and provide all the necessary help,” the minister summed up.

What is known about the return of Ukrainians from China
In late January, Ukraine sent two aircraft to China to evacuate its citizens. In total, 415 Ukrainians returned home. On February 11, a new evacuation of Ukrainians from Wuhan was to take place, but they failed to fly out allegedly for technical reasons that do not depend on the Ukrainian embassy in China.
On February 12, SkyUp said it was ready to send another plane. According to representatives of the air carrier, 16 crew members and a team of doctors will be dressed in biological protection suits. After arrival, passengers will be measured temperature, aircraft technology will be disinfected, and special air filters will be replaced with new ones.
However, the head of the Ministry of Health, Zoryana Skaletskaya, stated that the final decision on the start of the evacuation of Ukrainians from China would be made only when all possible risks of introducing the disease into Ukraine along with the evacuated people were excluded.
