Recently, a man from the Odessa region said that for two days of treatment, COVID-19 spent about 25 thousand hryvnias. Deputy Head of the Ministry of Health Viktor Lyashko explained that this situation arose due to poor provision of hospitals. According to him, after the start of the medical reform of the second link, which took place on April 1, the situation will change.
Medical attorney Alexander Grishakov “By order of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine dated 02.04.2020 No. 762, the protocol“ Providing medical care for the treatment of coronavirus disease (COVID-19) ”was approved. According to which the Ministry of Health has clearly established a list of institutions that accept patients with coronavirus, and these are only public institutions. Since treatment for coronavirus patients is provided at a state institution, it is the state that must pay for it. ”
However, government agencies are often underfunded, so patients still have to pay both for diagnosis and treatment. But, if a person is sick, he can contact his family doctor and, in his direction, make an express test for coronavirus. If the test showed a positive result, then it should be isolated in the same hospital.
Recently, the Ministry of Health approved a unified protocol for the treatment of patients with COVID-19. Among the proposed drugs – they use a medicine from antiretroviral therapy, as well as antibiotics if necessary.
Since there is no specific treatment for coronavirus yet, medications are used to relieve symptoms. If you are offered to undergo a paid test for coronavirus at a state hospital, you must inform the appropriate institution about this.
If, according to the protocol for medical care for coronavirus, you have symptoms or a high risk that you have a coronavirus installed according to the relevant criteria, then you are required to test.
Medical lawyer Alexander Grishakov “If they require money for this, you need to complain about the hotline of the Ministry of Health (0-800-505-201), as well as to law enforcement agencies.”
If a person finds himself in a hopeless situation during the quarantine period, you can contact charitable organizations and volunteers who provide assistance.
