Six thousand doses of Gam-COVID-Vac (or Sputnik V) will be distributed to healthcare workers as they are most at risk of infection. This was announced by the first deputy head of the regional health department Lyudmila Krylova.
Earlier, the Department of Health reported that they had already prepared the necessary infrastructure to work with this vaccine – refrigerators and thermal containers for transportation (the drug should be stored at a temperature of about 18 degrees).
At the same time, influenza vaccination continues in the region. In this epidemic season, it is planned to vaccinate more than 919 thousand Belgorod residents.
We add that the first consignments of the Russian coronavirus vaccine have been sent to all regions of the country. The volume of supplies, according to the Minister of Health of the Russian Federation Mikhail Murashko, will be small for now "in order to comply with all interests."
In addition, according to the Stopkoronavirus.rf portal, the vaccine will be tested not only in Russia. Belarus joined the final stage of clinical trials. The first batch of Sputnik V is expected to arrive in Venezuela for the third phase of clinical trials this month. In total, Russia is negotiating with 50 countries for the supply of vaccines.
Help The Ministry of Health registered the world's first vaccine for the prevention of coronavirus infection in mid-August. The drug was developed at the National Research Center for Epidemiology and Microbiology named after N.F. Gamaleya, it is produced jointly with the Russian Direct Investment Fund.
