Doctor Christina Quit “If during overeating there was a short-term weight gain, do not immediately begin the process of losing weight. After all, weight could increase due to other factors: water retention, bloating, food retention in the intestines. ”
The doctor advises to monitor the weight a week after overeating: if it remains increased, then it is worth limiting the calorie intake. This is because stopping the weight gain process at its beginning is more effective than when the weight became familiar to a person.
Christina Quit notes that there are no special recommendations on how to improve well-being after overeating. A healthy gastrointestinal tract quickly recovers its functions: motor, digestive, enzymatic.
If a person wants to speed up this process, the doctor advises increasing the amount of water in the diet – drinking 30 ml of water per kg of body weight or 4% of the total body weight.
