Masks are not effective in preventing infection with the Chinese virus, but their lack can be a danger to medical professionals, Jerome Adams explained on his twitter.

“This can seriously interfere with the work of doctors who cannot work normally and care for patients without them (masks – channel 24). This endangers them and the rest of the population,” the doctor said.
He added that the best prevention of coronavirus infection are:
Hand washing. Avoid crowded places.
At the same time, the doctor recommends getting a flu shot so as not to load the already busy doctors with the problems of this disease.
Seriously people- STOP BUYING MASKS!
They are NOT effective in preventing general public from catching #Coronavirus, but if healthcare providers can’t get them to care for sick patients, it puts them and our communities at risk!

Important! The Ministry of Health, guided by the WHO protocol, recommends not using masks for protection, but N95 or FFP2 respirators in contact with people who are likely to be infected with a new type of coronavirus. But even they do not give a 100% guarantee against coronavirus infection. It is better to focus on your own hygiene and follow WHO recommendations.
WHO recommendations for disease prevention
Wash your hands regularly with soap; Cover your nose and mouth when sneezing; Meat, eggs and fish should be heat treated; Wash fruits and vegetables; Avoid close contact with anyone who shows symptoms of a respiratory illness such as coughing and sneezing; Avoid wild animals and do not visit farms.
