Sadovy's explanation of the large number of patients
Mayor Andrei Sadovy explained that the highest number of new patients is due to a record number of PCR studies
He also noted that, analyzing the situation in the world, wherever there is a weakening of quarantine, there are outbreaks of morbidity.
"If the incidence rate is more than 23%, then we will sound the alarm. As of yesterday, this is 19%. And here is the border: 11%, 12%, 15%, 19% – has been holding for the past 2 weeks," – said Sadovy.
The mayor added that Lviv citizens began to adhere poorly to quarantine restrictions. According to him, in this regard, it is predictable that the number of patients will increase.
What they say in the regional state administration
In addition, the deputy chairman of the Lviv Regional State Administration Taras Gren on the air of channel 24 said that he did not completely connect 96 patients in Lviv with an increase in the number of tests. In his opinion, this is due to the difficult epidemiological situation. Moreover, people are tired of quarantine and do not always adhere to it.
“In addition, today all tests are carried out not in turn, but in the so-called online mode. As a result, an increase in the number of patients. And lastly, our laboratory centers have attracted more capacities and actually conduct more tests," said Gren.
What the Ministry of Health says about the situation
Restrictive anti-epidemiological measures in Ukraine are now applied not for the whole area. Regional commissions can independently decide on the closure of individual cities or areas of activity in them. During a briefing by the Ministry of Health on June 18, the chief sanitary officer of Ukraine Viktor Lyashko gave an example of a situation that is happening in Lviv region.
The Lviv region in terms of incidence today exceeds the permissible in Ukraine 12 per 100 thousand of the population. The analysis shows that the excess is solely due to the city of Lviv. At the same time, Truskavets could open up and start work, because the situation is better there,
Now, at the regional commission level, it is possible to divide the region into several clusters and take measures on the ground.
