COVID-19 distribution statistics in Ukraine
As of July 13, 54 133 cases of SARS-CoV-2 infection were registered in Ukraine. Over the past day, the disease was found in 612 people, in addition, 15 patients with COVID-19 died from complications of the disease. Thus, the number of victims of COVID-19 increased to 1398.

The difficult situation in Transcarpathia: almost 90% of the hospitals of the first and second waves are filled
A significant increase in cases of COVID-19 disease has been observed in Transcarpathia over the past three weeks. The beds in the hospital of the second and third waves are almost 90% full.
In addition, there are not enough oxygen concentrators in the area. As of July 13, 40 such devices are needed for medical institutions of the second and third waves. It is oxygen concentrators that help patients with complicated forms of COVID-19. They saturate the patient’s body with oxygen per minute from 1 liter to 10. It all depends on the patient’s health.

Now the number of patients with COVID-19 per 100 thousand of the population in Ukraine is many times higher than that in European countries.
The Minister noted that cancellation of restrictions on entry into the Schengen zone can be discussed after the figure in Ukraine is either equal to the EU average or less.

Young people at risk for severe complications of COVID-19

Although compared with boys, girls more often reported the presence of asthma and immune conditions. However, when smokers were withdrawn from the study, the girls received a higher risk.
