In what cases the ambulance will not come
The category of non-emergency treatment refers to a patient whose condition is not urgent and:
1) is accompanied by:
sudden fever with cough, runny nose, sore throat; headache, dizziness, weakness; lower back pain, joints (sciatica, osteochondrosis, arthritis, arthrosis, etc); high blood pressure; pain syndrome in cancer patients; alcohol, narcotic, toxic abstinence syndrome;
2) due to the exacerbation of chronic diseases in patients under the supervision of a family or local doctor regarding:
hypertension; gastric and duodenal ulcers; chronic inflammation of the liver, gallbladder, intestines, kidney disease, joints, and the like.
High pressure – is not a reason for the arrival of an ambulance
In Ukraine, ambulance crews should come to patients only if a person can become disabled or die in minutes.
Yaroslav Vus “Emergency should be responsible for emergency cases – when a person without assistance will remain disabled or lose their lives in a matter of minutes. Accidents with injuries, heart attacks, strokes, etc. This is an ambulance job. And what she has been doing now and has been doing for the last 20 years – temperature, pneumonia, high blood pressure, “just talk” and the like – the ambulance will not do. ”
Despite this, a person who has sought medical assistance will not be left entirely without help when something threatens his condition. For example, if a child has a fever and a rash, then you should report it to the dispatcher, as this is an emergency. This could probably be a sign of meningococcemia.
If the child has a fever and a rash – report it to the controller
Yaroslav Vus “And if just a high temperature – the child’s parents call, they are denied a call, advised what to do next, how to shoot down. In addition to teams of 103, the dispatcher can switch you to a consultation with a doctor, for example, a pediatrician, or he can advise you on what to do to wait for the morning and go to the polyclinic where you live. Emergency cases – chest pain, stroke, speech disorders – ambulance will come ”
In Ukraine, for the Ukrainian crews of the ambulance, the legislatively established rate of arrival at a place is 10 minutes in the city, 20 minutes outside the city.
