Just a week in the Zhytomyr region recorded a decrease in the incidence of influenza in all age groups, the regional laboratory center said on January 2.

So, in the last week of 2019 in the Zhytomyr region, 5666 people applied for medical help for flu diseases and acute respiratory viral infections. This is 1036 patients less than the previous week.
Over the past week, 3913 children fell ill with influenza and SARS in the Zhytomyr region. This is 646 less children than in the previous week. The number of sick children in the region is 69% of all cases.
Most of all in the Zhytomyr region children under 4 years old are sick – 2302.9 per 100 thousand children of this age group.
