Since yesterday, another 476 people have confirmed the coronavirus, of which 29 are children and 76 are health workers. 115 new patients were hospitalized, the rest are treated at home under the supervision of doctors.
Since the beginning of the pandemic in the country, the disease was detected in 19,706 people, of which 1,405 were children and 3,833 were health workers.
6227 patients have already recovered, however 579 could not overcome the disease.
Stepanov said that over the past 24 hours, Ukraine conducted a record number of PCR studies – 9361. He added that yesterday, most of the new patients were found in the Rivne, Kiev and Chernivtsi regions and in the capital.
The most difficult epidemiological situation in the Chernivtsi region – 2,842 cases of coronavirus infection were detected in the region.
As of the morning of May 21, 1,024 reports of suspected COVID-19 were received by the Public Health Center. But from the beginning of 2020, the Center received 49 352 such messages.
