And so, we once again urge you to stay home. However, if there is a need to leave your home, then you will know what to do.
So, what should I do as soon as I get home?
First we take off our shoes and go wash our hands.
After that, take off the mask?
Yes, remove the mask, throw it away and wash my hands again.
If the mask is reusable, it must be washed after each use. You need to have several replacement masks. As soon as you remove the mask, put it in a specific separate container so that it can be washed, ironed and then put on the next time.
What to do with outerwear?
You came home, took off your shoes, washed your hands. They removed the mask, threw it away, washed our hands again. They removed their outer clothing wherever you always take it off. We don’t touch it, we don’t process it. After that, my hands were washed again. Everything
Ukrainians sometimes carry outerwear on the balcony or wipe her sleeves. Is it necessary to do this?
I do not advise anyone to do this, because I do not see the point in this.
Do I need to wipe shoes?
Shoes should, in principle, be wiped so that they are clean. At the entrance to the room there should be a separate place where you always leave your shoes. All. Come – leave your shoes there. Separate processing is not necessary.
Periodically, when you wash the floor and disinfect the room using special means, wipe that place. Shoes are washed as they become soiled. The main task is to wash your hands after having undressed. We do not lick either the floor or the shoes. And from him, nothing flies up into the air.
What about the rest of the clothes? Pants, sweater?
They removed it, hung it on a high chair and put it on the next day. Coronavirus is not a pulmonary plague, or something extraordinary. If there were such measures, then everyone would talk about it. The main ones are respiratory hygiene and hand washing.
What to do with the things we often touch: phone, keys, headphones?
I work in a hospital. Before using the phone at home, I wipe the phone’s cover with cotton and alcohol – and that’s all. I do not perform any more actions. Phones are not soaked in anything.
Concerning a bag or backpack. Upon arrival home, they need to be put in a separate, specific place, in the corridor or somewhere else. I don’t wipe the bags with disinfectants, because I don’t go directly to the ward to the patients. And ordinary people absolutely do not need to do this.
Regarding headphones. If someone nearby sneezed into your ear, in which there was an earphone, then such an earphone, of course, needs to be wiped with alcohol. If this does not happen, then normal handling of the headphones is sufficient.
We know cases when people wipe almost everything when they return from the store.
Let's look at an example of a bag of milk. The tip of the bag was cut off, milk was poured into a specific container, the bag was thrown away. Hands washed, milk boiled.
Need to get rid of any packaging.
Similarly, if you buy apples. A bag of apples was thrown away, apples were washed with hands, laid and eat. No additional disinfectants are needed.
Ukrainians have a habit of leaving packages for later. Can I leave them?
It’s better to throw the packet away, because we don’t know who and with what hands touched us to it, someone sneezed on it or not.
What do you recommend regarding sunglasses or watches?
They do not need additional processing. You with these glasses do not go to the ward to watch the sick. Accordingly, there is no point in doing anything with them. As you get dirty, wipe both the glasses and the watch. Do not once again spoil their properties.
Nothing sticks to them from the air. Neither the watch nor the glasses.
