Ex-Minister of Health Uliana Suprun told us more about security on her Facebook page.

Suprun confirmed that the greatest risk of infection is large crowds and the inability to keep physical distance on crowded beaches or pools.
According to the CDC and the FDA, there is no evidence to date that the virus can be transmitted through water in swimming pools, hot tubs, spas or in water playgrounds.
We add that chlorine in water is able to inactivate the virus.
It is also very unlikely to become infected through water in open water bodies, rivers or in salt water. However, while this issue is still being investigated, and scientists cannot provide conclusive evidence,
– said Suprun.
The former head of the Ministry of Health added that in areas where sea water mixes with wastewater that can be infected with the virus, it is theoretically possible to become infected, because the action of waves and the sun can aerosolize these particles and transfer them to the beaches due to the wind. But the probability is very small. Therefore, swimming in the water that mixes with wastewater is not worth it.
SARS-CoV-2 virus RNA was detected in the feces of patients with COVID-19 people. Theoretically, they can get into the water, and then if a person swallows it while swimming, they will enter the body directly. But in this condition, it is very unlikely that the virus remains active and dangerous,
– added Ulyana Suprun.
How to minimize the risk of coronavirus infection on vacation
Avoid large crowds of people, both on the shore of a reservoir or sea, by the pool, and in the water. Give preference to open beaches in the fresh air. Observe a physical distance of at least 2 meters. Observe coughing and sneezing hygiene and good hand hygiene. Do not touch objects (for example, sun umbrellas, deck chairs) unless you are sure that they are sanitized. Do not change clothes in tight locker rooms. Do not come to the beach with symptoms of an acute respiratory infection.

Pathogenic microorganisms live in the water, which precisely cause dangerous diseases.
Remember that you should not go swimming in those places where you doubt the quality of water. Do not go into the water if there is a sign nearby that swimming is prohibited.
Among the diseases that can be taken in this way, there are, for example, E. coli, pathogens of dysentery, salmonellosis, hepatitis A.
Never eat smoked, dried or salted fish on the beaches unless you are sure of the conditions for its preparation. Indeed, you can catch botulism in this way, and this is very dangerous! The fish may be infected, but it will not work out before eating. Toxins that cause poisoning do not seem to spoil the food,
– added the ex-minister.
Suprun also recalled that you must always remember about sunscreen and not be in direct sunlight.
Where to go to sea to Ukrainians during the coronavirus pandemic
Due to the high incidence rate, Ukraine is in the “red zone”. Consequently, many borders are closed for our citizens or there are certain restrictions that automatically make holidays longer or more expensive (we are talking about mandatory self-isolation after arrival or if you have a certificate of passing a PCR test for coronavirus).
However, in our country there is also something to see – Ukraine is rich in picturesque places to relax for every taste and budget. In particular, if we are talking about sea holidays, then they are perfectly suitable:
Koblevo, Nikolaev region; Kirillovka, Zaporizhzhya region; Zatoka, Odessa region; Karolino-Bugaz, Odessa region; Iron port, Kherson region; Skadovsk, Kherson region; Dzharylgach island for a "wild" vacation, Kherson region.
Note that maritime countries such as Albania, Croatia, Tanzania, Iran and Mexico accept Ukrainians without a PCR test and a mandatory observation. For a trip to Turkey, this is also not necessary, but a coronavirus test will be done at the airport.
