When you drink alcohol, it is worth remembering the critical dose of a hangover and an individual measure, which is desirable to share at a party.
Hangover – Symptoms • An unbearable headache of a pulsating nature;
• Dry mouth, heartburn, thirst;
• Heartbeat, heart rhythm disturbance;
• Increased urine output, impaired stool;
• A sharp mental perception of the environment, tremors of limbs and the whole body, irritability;
• Redness of the eyes, sensitivity to light and noise, loss of appetite;
• Depression. The so-called "adrenaline melancholy" can embrace – a feeling of guilt, a feeling that on the eve he did something inappropriate and wrong.
Associate Professor Sergei Akentiev believes that having a meal and drinking alcohol is not a way to poison yourself, but a way to spend cultural time in a team. He advises eating one teaspoon of butter with one egg, which can protect against rapid intoxication.

Sergey Akentiev advises to adhere to the following rules:
Just because there are calories in beer does not mean that these drinks replace dinner. When we drink on an empty stomach, alcohol is absorbed into the blood faster. The main thing is not to eat everything in a row, the best solution is a tight late dinner without mayonnaise salads, but with meat or poultry dishes and complex carbohydrates.
Decide on drinks
There is a statement that you can not mix different types of alcohol – this increases the hangover. In fact, this is a dubious fact. But it’s known for sure that dark drinks like rum or red wine contain more congeners – substances that arise as a result of fermentation (acetone, acetaldehyde, fusel oils, tannins). Congenders make a hangover harder, so instead of whiskey it’s better to limit yourself to a serving of vodka, gin or white wine.
Choose quality, not quantity
There is nothing to "taste" a new brandy of an unknown producer, promotional wine or anise vodka brought by friends from vacation. Choose high-quality proven alcohol: so you most likely will not lose the connection between the amount you drink and your condition. The advantage of expensive alcohol is that it usually goes through more distillation stages, therefore it contains fewer insidious congeners, which makes us feel so bad later.
Before dinner, you need to have dinner
Before, during and after – water is guaranteed to relieve headaches in the morning. The tissues surrounding the brain are predominantly water, and it is believed that when dehydrated, which causes alcohol, these tissues “shrink” and cause that very feeling of pressure in the head. After each drink, drink a glass of clean water: this will help to avoid pain in the head and throughout the body.
Do not smoke
As part of the study, for eight weeks 113 students daily reported the amount of alcohol and cigarettes consumed, as well as their symptoms of a hangover. As a result, it turned out that against the background of drinking in considerable quantities, smoking seriously complicated the risk and severity of a hangover.
Psychologist Victoria Skuratova “Strong alcohol less often causes a hangover. Most often it is caused by sweet drinks, cocktails and other alcohol. Fusel oils contained in moonshine, dark beer, tequila, whiskey also increase the hangover. “You should never mix different drinks, you should not drink alcohol with carbonated drinks.”
Narcologist Oleg Strashok emphasized, notes that it is important for a person to sleep enough to feel better. In the absence of such an opportunity, the expert does not advise drinking alcohol. Do not drink alcohol if you feel unwell, are in baths and saunas.
