A ton of nonwoven propylene fabric has arrived at Stary Oskol. The material will be used for tailoring protective equipment for coronary staff. This amount is enough for about four and a half thousand disposable overalls. So much is needed by the district hospital health workers for the next two months.
Oskolskoe training and production enterprise will sew shoe covers, masks, protective suits and dressing gowns, sheets, hats, sleeves, aprons. Today 64 production workers, one third of whom are disabled, work around the clock – in three shifts.
The work is really selfless, but the raw material remained a big problem. A roll of nonwoven fabric is now worth its weight in gold. Demand exceeds the production capacity of our country.
Svetlana Nemtseva, the head physician of the Stary Oskol District Hospital of St. Luke of Crimea, applied for help to the Generation Fund by Andrey Skoch. And the fund came to the rescue!
– They responded very quickly, paid for the purchase, and today this material has been delivered. Every week we will pick up manufactured personal protective equipment and our doctors will be protected, ”Svetlana Nemtseva thanked the philanthropists.
The assistant to the State Duma deputy Andrei Skoch noted that the Generation fund has provided assistance in the fight against coronavirus more than once:
– The Generation Fund has already put on the site of the regional warehouse, from which all protective equipment is distributed, both overalls, and protective masks, and various respirators. Last week, 27 special backpack-mounted battery-powered sprayers for treating buildings, shopping centers and large-area structures were purchased for the regional Ministry of Emergencies. More than 40 million rubles were allocated by the fund to help the region in the fight against the pandemic. And this work will be continued.
