Scientists have sought to better track the relationship between diet and hearing functions and have now announced new evidence for the benefits of certain types of nutrition.
The connection between diet and hearing
Scientists analyzed data from women who, every four years for 20 years, provided information on diet.
Researchers found out how their diet corresponded to three approaches: a hypertonic diet, a Mediterranean diet, and an AHEI-2010 diet.
It turned out that strict adherence to the principles of these diets reduced the risk of a number of diseases: cardiovascular system, hypertension, diabetes, stroke.

How did the research
To evaluate the effect of the diet on hearing, scientists conducted detailed diagnostics and testing of patients for three years.
The likelihood of hearing loss was 30% lower in people who followed a diet.
In addition, the researchers noted that the average age at which hearing is best verified was 59 years.
The link between diet and hearing loss spanned frequencies critical to understanding the language, explained study author Kerhan.
