Every cell in the body uses glucose for energy. Cancer cells use about 200 times more than others, so they need a huge amount of sugar to grow.
Sugar comes not only from sweets, but also from familiar foods:
In fruits (fructose); In vegetables (glucose); In dairy products (lactose); And also in carbohydrates: bread, pasta and rice;
Sugar is not only found in desserts.
And if you completely exclude these products?
So far, there is insufficient evidence that a diet low in sugar or carbohydrates reduces the risk of cancer. So, there are certain small studies, but there are still no completely confirmed ones.
The one exception is esophageal cancer. A recent study shows that sugar and sugary drinks can increase the likelihood of developing this cancer by 70% or more.
Many experts, given the American Cancer Society, do not believe that sugar causes cancer. In their view, obesity is a real problem. It is clinically proven that overweight or obesity can cause at least 13 types of cancer.
Fat cells secrete inflammatory proteins – adipokines, which can damage DNA and cause tumors. The more fat cells, the more adipokines.
The doctor also added that insulin can also provoke the development of some cancers.
