In this case, expectorant and antitussive agents can be used – with wet cough, mucolytics should be used, and in case of dry cough, it is rational to use antitussive.
Note that very often a cough acts as a symptom of a viral or bacterial infection, so you can use antiviral agents or antibiotics in the complex.
Start treatment on time
It is worth remembering that the cough itself will pass. If only some symptoms of coughing appeared, do not forget that folk remedies and inhalations should be used rationally. In case of dry cough, a short course of antitussive drugs will be enough.
Use folk remedies
Alternative treatment of cough should be used only as an adjunct against the background of the main therapy. In no case do not try to cure severe infectious diseases with the help of folk remedies, since they are effective only in combination with medical treatment.
The best folk remedies for cough:
– ginger tea;
– a decoction of buckwheat flowers;
– a decoction of chamomile, thyme, coltsfoot;
– honey with lemon.
