Since yesterday, 735 new cases of coronavirus infection have been detected in Ukraine, as a result of which the overall statistics of COVID-19 cases in the country has grown to 36,560.

Over the past day, another 8 patients with COVID-19 died, as a result of which the total mortality statistics from coronavirus for the first time exceeded a thousand. Since the start of the pandemic, 1,002 people have died in the country.
But there is good news, 16 509 patients recovered from the total number of patients.

Since yesterday, 12,932 tests for coronavirus have been performed. Of these, 9,441 studies by PCR, and 3,491 studies by ELISA.
In Ukraine, coronavirus was found in 5998 doctors – this is 16.4% of the total number of patients. 43 of them died from complications caused by the disease. But there is good news, 3639 health workers managed to recover. In the Armed Forces of Ukraine, 140 troops are now ill on COVID-19. Unfortunately, five patients died. In total, 420 people are isolated. 263 military managed to overcome the disease.

Stepanov congratulated physicians on their professional holiday
The head of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine Maxim Stepanov congratulated the doctors on the Day of the medical worker. During his video message, he noted that now the health workers were in extremely difficult conditions and recalled that from September 2020, salaries for medical workers of all levels will increase their salaries.
Zelensky awarded 122 doctors with state awards
Vladimir Zelensky signed a decree on rewarding 122 doctors with state awards. He also mentioned 43 health workers who gave their lives in the fight against COVID-19 – their families should receive appropriate compensation. The president also said that in addition to 6.5 billion hryvnias for the construction of reception rooms, the government is increasing the cost of medicine by almost 8 billion hryvnias.
In Odessa, increased quarantine
Over the past day, 36 cases of coronavirus infection were detected in Odessa. To prevent the spread of the disease in the area, they decided to strengthen quarantine. In particular, residents and visitors of the city are forbidden to be on the streets without identity documents confirming citizenship or special status.
What quarantine enhancements will be introduced in Odessa and the region from June 22:
a ban on the work of children's institutions for recreation and recreation; a ban on holding mass events with the participation of more than one person per 5 square meters; a ban on visiting educational institutions in groups of more than 10 people; limited number of people in public transport. In addition, from June 22, Odessa beaches will be intensely checked for compliance with quarantine requirements. Law enforcement officers will react harshly to identified violations.
