Why in Lviv recorded a record number of patients
For June 17 in the Lviv region discovered 171 new cases of infection. The leadership of the region named 2 reasons why the situation is critical.
The reasons for the Lviv region anti-records:
The region has increased the number of tests. Earlier in the Lviv region only 250 tests were done daily, now about 550. People do not adhere to sanitary and epidemiological standards. In particular, do not wear masks and neglect the established rules.
In addition, the situation in the region is not uniform. The largest number of new cases, namely 70%, are recorded directly in the city – in Lviv, and there are areas that almost do not give the number of diseases.
Important Ukraine now makes 200 times more tests for COVID-19 than at the beginning of the pandemic
The number of tests increased 200 times
Compared to the outbreak of a pandemic in Ukraine, the number of tests for coronavirus has grown 200 times. So, if in March 3,300 tests were carried out, now about 12 thousand laboratory tests.
The Ministry of Health noted that they did not stop there and planned to expand the number of laboratory equipment that would be delivered to laboratory centers in the regions.
Now in Ukraine they check for the presence of coronavirus in three ways: PCR tests, ELISA tests, and rapid tests.

In Russia, before the parade, veterans were sent to self-isolation
Veterans of World War II, who will sit next to Putin at the Victory Day parade, were quarantined.
As you know, the parade was postponed from May 9 to June 24 because of the coronavirus pandemic, because of it veterans – 80 almost centennial grandparents – were sent to the resort for two weeks.
And on June 24, approximately 80 veterans of World War II will join the Russian president Vladimir Putin on the podium on Red Square in Moscow.
Such measures are somewhat justified, since coronavirus infection in Russia was found even among top politicians and officials. In particular, Prime Minister Mishustin and spokesman Putin Peskov.
Interestingly, Putin himself is also, to a certain extent, quarantined. He sits somewhere outside the capital in Novo-Ogaryovo, and people get there only through a special disinfection tunnel. In this tunnel, people are sprayed with "fine water mist" and a disinfectant solution.

Scientists have explained how blood type affects the course of coronavirus
Even earlier, scientists found that people with the first group are less vulnerable to COVID-19. Meanwhile, people with the second group are more vulnerable to the disease and worst tolerate the infection.
So, researchers associate variants of six genes with the likelihood of serious illness and tie some blood groups to a possible increased risk.
Breakthrough: were able to destroy the spread of the virus in the body without drugs or vaccines
Scientists from the University of California at San Diego have introduced a new way to fight coronavirus infection. Instead of directly attacking the pathogen, scientists have developed nanospongs to trick SARS-CoV-2.
Researchers have developed a bait in the form of nanosponge that work on the principle of a sponge – absorbing pathogens and toxins. Experiments have shown that, when confronted with nanosponges, coronavirus loses 93% of its properties.
