From 689 people were found to have coronavirus on the territory of Ukraine yesterday, which is the highest daily rate from the start of the pandemic, the Center for Public Health reports.

For all the time, 29 070 cases of coronavirus infection were registered in the country.
Over the past day, a second PCR test showed a negative result for samples of 372 people – this means that they have overcome the disease. A total of 13,141 people have already recovered from all identified patients.
Unfortunately, yesterday another 21 infected died as a result of the disease. 854 patients with COVID-19 died from the onset of a pandemic.
During the day, most new infections were recorded in the Lviv region (+125) and in Kiev (+91). But in the Rivne, Kiev and Volyn regions for the day recorded more than 50 infected.
We did not have such a record yet, even in the most difficult times in the month of April … We never had 689 people who got sick in one day. Within a week, we have seen an increased number of reported cases of coronavirus disease,
– said Stepanov.
Once again, the Minister of Health urged Ukrainians to observe quarantine and not neglect preventive measures.
Note that the daily statistics of patients could grow due to an increase in tests performed. As of yesterday, a record number of Ukrainians were tested in Ukraine – 18,622. For comparison, on June 10, 14,210 people were tested, and on the 9th, 6,359.
Consequently, coronavirus was detected in 3.7% of all Ukrainians tested over the last day.
Also note that over the past three-day weekend, 463 to 550 infections per day were recorded in the country.
