American nutritionist Christopher Garner said which foods should not be consumed on an empty stomach.

1. Yeast baking
Yeast acts on the gastric mucosa in a special way, so gases are formed. The result is bloating and burping. If you want to eat pastries, it is better to enjoy it after a serving of protein and vegetables.
2. Sugar and sweet fruits
If we drink a sweet drink on an empty stomach, eat a ripe banana or a couple of sweets, then the pancreas begins to throw out insulin, blood sugar drops sharply, and we feel tired, drowsy and apathetic. Therefore, cheering yourself with sugar for more than 20 minutes will not work.
Persimmons must not be eaten on an empty stomach
Oranges, tangerines, grapefruits and lemons irritate the mucous membrane of your stomach, corrode it and may eventually cause gastritis. It is worth adding that people with low acidity of the stomach may not face such problems, but if there are any problems with the gastrointestinal tract or high acidity, eat an orange at the end of the meal.
4. Pear and persimmon
These fruits have one thing in common – an extremely high level of fiber, which, without helpers, can injure the organs of the gastrointestinal tract. As a result, motility slows down, food is absorbed worse, heaviness occurs.
Despite the benefits, this product strongly irritates the walls of the stomach, as well as the gall bladder. Chili peppers also belong to this category.
