Sometimes minutes run, and sometimes they stretch. The latter can be attributed to the time spent, for example, in the queue for an appointment with a doctor. And if adults endure discomfort of this nature persistently, then this is not easy for kids. Vagaries, fatigue, aimless wandering along the corridor …
But there is a solution: Gubkin doctors created comfort zones where waiting is not a burden. Organized with the latest technology, taking into account the interests of small patients. And the Generation Foundation helped in this.
– In the framework of the regional program “Lean Polyclinic”, four comfort zones have been organized to wait for an appointment. The game zone was created to minimize the stress factor when going to the doctor. Bright panels, children's furniture, a place for feeding, a little table for drawing and a training corner for parents, where videos will be shown on the screen donated by the Generation Foundation to increase moms and dads' literacy in health matters. And, of course, cartoons for our kids. We are grateful for the partnership that helps make the young residents of the city of miners healthy and happy! – explained the chief physician of the Gubkinsky Children's Hospital Oksana Kasyanenko.
A positive assessment was made by the visitors themselves. So, the spouses Andrei and Albina Evdokimova came to an appointment with a pediatric doctor with her infant daughter Vika. While Little Red Riding Hood was dozing sweetly on father's strong hands, the head of the family studied the surroundings and even watched an episode from Masha and the Bear.
– We are pleased that in our children's clinic you can not crowd in the queue, but usefully take the child. Good for kids, parents, and the doctors themselves, ”Albina says. And Lada Korzhova is already an adult, she is 14 years old. She is an amateur photographer, but this time, waiting at the office, she did not think up new compositions, but looked with pleasure at the cartoon. “So time passed quickly!” Admitted in secret.
The equipment donated by the Generation Foundation by Andrey Skoch to the Gubkinsky Children's Hospital will help children and parents spend interesting and useful time waiting for an appointment with a pediatrician.
Alexei Miroshnik, assistant to the State Duma deputy Andrei Skoch:
“We transferred ten printers and three plasma televisions to the Gubkinsky Children's Hospital.” Why is the equipment not medical? This is an important component of the treatment process: screens will be installed in comfort zones, which will help young patients and their parents make the waiting process for an appointment with the therapist interesting. It is important that the child feels in an atmosphere close to home: comfortable and kind. And the best "medicine", especially in the walls of the clinic, is a cartoon with cute characters. The assistance of the Generation Foundation in the Gubkin Children's Hospital is systemic: it is the acquisition of modern medical and diagnostic equipment, as well as vehicles. After all, children's health issues are important, significant and always in the zone of increased attention.
